Grace Paras / Cochran Fellow

Grace joined NSB as a Cochran Fellow in 2021. Previously, Grace was the Alan Morrison Supreme Court Assistance Project fellow at Public Citizen Litigation Group, where she represented public-interest clients before the U.S. Supreme Court at the certiorari stage. She previously interned at Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC, where she focused on plaintiff-side class actions, and the Immigrant Defense Project, where she worked at the intersection of criminal and immigration law. Grace graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, which she attended on a public-interest scholarship. Grace served as Editor-in-Chief of The Georgetown Law Journal and competed as a finalist in the first-year moot court competition. She also participated as a student–attorney in Georgetown’s appellate and immigration-defense clinics. Upon graduation, she received Exceptional Pro Bono Distinction and the Dean’s Certificate for outstanding service to the Georgetown Law community, and was named to the Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, Grace was a Program Analyst at the Vera Institute of Justice’s Center on Immigration and Justice. Grace earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from New York University and also won the Dean’s Award in Politics.
