Ali Fraerman / Paralegal

Ali Fraerman joined NSB as a paralegal in 2018, after graduating from Barnard College with majors in Human Rights and Political Science. In 2017, Ali was an undergraduate Guggenheim Fellow in criminal justice at the Correctional Association of New York, where she researched abuse and mental health issues in the New York state prison system. Previously, Ali has also worked for the U.S. Program at Human Rights Watch, as well as the Chicago Innocence Project and the Northwestern Center on Wrongful Convictions in her hometown of Chicago. While at Barnard, Ali also peer-tutored public speaking and ran undergraduate working groups on criminal justice policy issues through the Roosevelt Institute.
